  1. Concerned over the faulty stamps being destroyed rather than recycled? Think about all the *good* stamps — each with a wasted layer of paper backing for the convenience of peel-and-stick. How many extra tons of trees are cut for that backing layer? What’s the carbon-footprint of transporting the extra weight from forest, to papermill, to printer, to post office. To landfill for the waste backing completes the picture for most of it. Better off with lick-and-stick — much less waste!

  2. why would you want to forge stamps?
like omg i can save a few bucks on posting shit

  6. Interesting… but tiny flaws don’t make big bucks, big flaws do.
Shame that so many collectors collect only mint stamps… it’s good to make the post office work for its money.

  7. you mean First Day Covers? They’re probably worth a few dollars, but probably not over $10 each.

  8. Take that faulty stamps!!!!!
    LOL/XD

  9. 2:03 – it can’t be good that the machine is flashing yellow and red lights. Usually that means some sort of alarm or problem.

  10. I am in possession of two first run ELVIS stamps. First issue 1993, January 8th,( Elvis’ birthday. ), out of Memphis,Tenn.
Anyone know if they are worth anything to anybody ? I am going to look them up too, but figured I may come across someone knowledgeable here. Thanks.

  11. faulty stamps get incinerated (6:00) and not recycled? isnt that a cryuing waste of paper, more trees to cut, and more pollution into the air?

  12. it can’t be recycled, there is glue in the paper

  24. Oh come on, the exchange rate isn’t that bad!! You mean £14 million :-)

  25. 1. Self-adhesive paper covered in ink, and the glossy backing paper, are difficult to recycle. The easiest paper to recycle is lightly printed photocopy paper or newspaper as both absorb water more easily than the heavily coated, inked, and gummed paper.

    2. Your comment, especially the last, displays ignorance which by the age of 17 we might have hoped you had grown out of.
